In Paris and in the various French Overseas Departments, Gaëlle de Thoré manages complex commercial disputes for large companies and SMEs, particularly in the telecommunications, digital economy, transport, construction and public works sectors.
She also regularly manages social law litigation (individual and collective litigation in labor law).
Gaëlle worked in the law firm of Alain Bensoussan before founding Overeed. With Sébastien de Thoré, she leads the Litigation / Contracts Department and, with Nelly Bony, the Labor Law and Social Security Law Department.

After studying in the United Kingdom (University of Leicester) for a year, Bertrand Vermersch completed his business law training at Pantheon-Assas University before taking a double degree in business law and management.
Following several experiences in companies as well as in French and American law firms, Bertrand decided to join Overeed as a lawyer in October 2015.
Although more specifically attached to the Restructuring and Litigation / Contracts Departments, his multidisciplinary practice also allows him to work alongside the Corporate / Corporate / Mergers & Acquisitions Department.
Bertrand works indistinctly in French and English.

Sébastien DE THORÉ

After a first professional experience in a firm of judicial representatives, Sébastien joined, as a lawyer, the business law firm of Rambaud Martel, then the international law firm of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.
In 2007, Sébastien founded the law firm of Overeed with the objective of offering businesses, public and private institutions, a first-rate legal assistance both in Paris and in the Overseas Departments (Martinique, Guadeloupe and Guyana).
Under its leadership and as a continuation of an international expansion strategy, the law firm of Overeed opened a new office (permanent representation) in Lisbon in 2017.
Sébastien is particularly active in the areas of restructuring, prevention and treatment of business difficulties.
He also leads, with Pierre-Louis Hérin, the Corporate / Mergers & Acquisitions Department and with Gaëlle de Thoré, the Litigation / Contracts Department and the Restructuring Department.

Public law specialist Public Law Department

Gilles Especel focuses on the main areas of business public law, local public law (public contracts, public domain, economic interventions, environment and urban planning) and the law called “regulatory” (regulated activities and professions).
Gilles also assists pharmacists in their projects of grouping or transfer, in the structuring of their activities as well as in the administrative or ordinal process (declarations, discipline).
He has a thorough knowledge of the legal and institutional overseas specificities – he worked several years in Nouméa (New Caledonia).
Gilles has developed his practice in the sectors of the industry, specialized distribution, health, property promotion and public services.
Before founding Overeed, Gilles practiced law at the international firm of Salans & Associés (Dentons).
He has a specialization certificate in public law and he is a lecturer in public contract law (IPAG Paris II Panthéon-Sorbonne).
He leads the Public Law Department.
Sophie SALGUEIRO FREIRE

After working in a Paris business law firm, Sophie Salgueiro Freire joined a Parisian firm of judicial representatives.
Following this experience and thanks to her double Franco-Brazilian culture, Sophie joined the arbitration team of Professor Arnoldo WALD (WALD Advogados-São Paulo-Brazil), then the law firm of Gouvêa Vieira Advogados in São Paulo (Corporate Law / Contracts / Business Litigation and Restructuring).
Since 2017, Sophie has joined the Litigation / Contracts and Restructuring Departments of the law firm of Overeed.
She focuses more particularly on the following areas:
Domestic and international business litigation, Mediation, Arbitration,
- Contract law and digital economy law,
- Insolvency proceedings.
Sophie leads the “Brazilian & Portuguese Desk” and assists French entrepreneurs in their installation projects both in Portugal and Brazil as well as Portuguese and Brazilian entrepreneurs in their international projects.

Nelly defends and advises French and international companies facing social law issues. She is particularly involved in training executives and human resources managers.
Before joining Overeed and the Labor Law and Social Security Department, which she leads with Gaëlle de Thoré, Nelly worked in a law firm based in Lyon, where she worked in the areas of employment law and commercial law for companies ranging from SMEs to international-level groups with a wide variety of activities (banking, transport, medico-social, construction and public works, etc.).
Nelly focuses more particularly on the following areas:
- Labor law and social security litigation,
- Individual and collective labor relationships,
- Accidents at work and occupational diseases.

Pierre-Louis focuses on corporate law, mergers & acquisitions and business law.
Before joining Overeed, Pierre-Louis worked in law firms specializing in corporate law and mergers & acquisitions, including the international law firm of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.
Pierre-Louis, along with Sébastien de Thoré, leads the Corporate / Mergers & Acquisitions Department and assists in particular corporate executives in the implementation of disposals and acquisitions, restructurings and fundraising operations as well as in general corporate matters. He also works for the Restructuring Department.
Pierre-Louis works indistinctly in French and English.
